“Amateurs practice until they get it right. Pros practice until they can’t get it wrong.”
Pros spend hours repeating the “boring” stuff. Dinks, resets, footwork patterns, third shots, and controlled volleys because those shots decide rallies under pressure. When your technique becomes automatic, you stop thinking and start playing real pickleball.
If you want to move from 3.5 to 4.0, from 4.0 to 5.0, or anywhere in between, drilling is what builds the consistency you see at higher levels. Games are fun but drills are what actually change your game.
If you want to win more, drill more. Your future self (and your future DUPR rating) will thank you.
