The St. Louis Shock delivered another dominant 3-0 sweep of the Los Angeles Mad Drops to win MLP St. Petersburg, taking the Super Sunday Belt by a combined score of 33-15. St. Louis rolled through women's doubles and men's doubles before a lineup switch paid off in mixed, as Kate Fahey and Gabe Tardio stepped into the first mixed doubles slot and beat Catherine Parenteau/Max Freeman 11-6 to close out the match without needing a second mixed game.
It was the second straight 3-0 sweep of LA by St. Louis, following a 33-9 sweep two weeks earlier at MLP St. Louis, and pushed the Shock's win streak to 11 matches in a row (38-4 in games) since their loss to the New Jersey 5s in the MLP Columbus final. St. Louis has now won back-to-back Super Sunday titles heading into the Mid-Season Tournament.
