5 Proven Strategies To Defeat Aggressive Net Players

Sometimes we find ourselves right in the middle of a game and the scoreboard is stacking up against us in a hurry and we're not quite sure why.

We're using the same tried and true strategies that have been working for months and all of a sudden we're just getting hammered.

All of a sudden, we're dealing with an opponent that just seems to be everywhere and is slamming shots for winners left and right.

The ball seems to be attracted to them like a magnetic and they always seem to have a high contact point with which to punish us.

What happened?

Where did this player come from?

As the game continues to evolve, players learn to attack better and smarter...

They too know the tried and true strategies!

So they start thinking a few moves ahead.

And just like that...

...the strategies that usually work can start to fall apart when we face an opponent that sees it coming and gets ahead of it.

So what to do?

The key is to stay calm.

Don't panic and pay attention!

What shot are they attacking?

Are they making a move early at some point?

before you or your opponent have hit your shot?

What are you doing that is setting them up for that shot and what do you need to now do differently?

One such strategy that savvy players are starting to use more and more is the poach.

This is typically when an opponent intercepts a shot that was headed to their partner who is deeper in the court behind them.

The aggressive opponent cuts across the middle of the court and takes it at a high contact point, before it has a change to drop down towards their partners feet...where you intended.

This can cause a real problem for your team.

The good news is that there are many ways to shut this attacker down.

In this video, we cover 5 effective ways to do just that.
