Personally, there's nothing more scary to me (and also fun!) on the pickleball court than an opponent that has consistent and deadly attacks from the NVZ line.
Anyone who is very good at offense has had to master the volley dink because it's the key to being able to set up devastating attacks time and time again from the non volley zone line.
It takes time away from you opponents to recover from their previous shot and it just speeds up the pace in general so they have less time to think and prepare.
It puts you in the driver's seat of the point if you are taking things out of the air and they are always letting it bounce.
