3 Keys to Master the Transition Zone in Pickleball

The transition zone becomes much easier when you stop treating the entire midcourt the same. In this video, I break it into two zones, T1 and T2, and explain how your positioning and shot selection should change as you move toward the kitchen.

✅ This video is for:

• Players who struggle to move forward after the return
• Players who get trapped or rushed in the transition zone
• Anyone who wants to reach the kitchen safely and consistently

📍 What You’ll Learn:

• Why you should avoid crowding the baseline
• How to play T1, the deeper part of the transition zone
• How to play T2, the zone closer to the kitchen
• The three keys that make transitioning easier

The transition zone isn’t one big area. Understanding where you are will help you choose the right shot, protect your feet, and move forward with confidence.
