I played the world’s best doubles team. Here’s how it went!

I played in the PPA Cape Coral last week with @tanner.pickleball. We battled against top seed Andrei Daescu and Ben Johns! In this video you get insight into what I’m thinking as the match happens and how our strategy changed and adapted throughout the match. Hoping to bring some value to your game with my match!

⭐️ decision making- Ben and Andrei stick to the plan. A lot of the time we go into a match with an idea of what to do, but in big points and moments we do other things. THEY DON’T. They play their plan the whole match no exceptions.

⭐️ First 4 balls - The game has gotten a lot faster in the last 2 years. This has made the first four balls the most important. If you can win that battle by serving and returning big and going for your thirds and fourths, you will see the value on the scoreboard!

⭐️ speed ups off the bounce - This shot is becoming very important, but it is often being misused. As we dink more aggressive we are seeing more dead dinks in return the off the bounce speed is there. However rushing it results in low success and free points for your opponents.
