Thank you Anna Leigh Waters 🐐

January 8th will forever be known as Anna Leigh Waters Day in pickleball history but it was January 28th, 2023 when I realized that she was different.

Facing Tyson McGuffin, one of the legends of the sport and a man that Barstool Sports had just coined “The Most Electrifying Man in Sports”, the 16-year-old refused to back down. Not only did she not back down but she rose to the moment. And then kept rising again and again and again.

See, Anna Leigh Waters isn’t like normal kids. She’s not cut from the same cloth that we are. She was born to be a champion. It’s in her DNA.

We could have been lived anytime the past 200,000 years but we got to witness Anna Leigh’s dominance. We are the lucky ones.
