The Pickleball world was rocked last week when, in the middle of the US Open, USA Pickleball deemed the CRBN paddle illegal and removed it from the approved paddles list. Within minute, CRBN asked their pro players to stop using the paddle and sanctioned tournaments across the country were told that CRBN would no longer be allowed to be used.
Our man on the scene, Jason Aspes, immediately reached out to USAP and connected with the man who does the tests himself, the Director of Equipment Compliance, Donn Paben, to get the skinny.
