The PPA Select Medical Orange County Cup in San Clemente did not disappoint.
An early round matchup between the hottest men’s doubles team of Riley Newman and Matt Wright took on the veterans Jeff Warnick and Wes “Sweeps” Burrows in one of the most intense and fiery matches in recent history.
Wes and Jeff had a game plan to attack Matt and hit the ball hard whenever the opportunity presented itself. Matt took body shot after body shot, but fended off the physical assault. Jeff Warnick’s verbal assault was just as menacing as he continued to lob comments in the champ’s direction.
But was the smack talking enough? Time for 'The Reset'!
