I'm joined by my buddy John Cincola to share five drills we developed to help improve your game. We start with slice-to-topspin, where John slices and I adjust with topspin to build touch and control. Next is "long hands," a fast-hands drill that trains bigger swings, transition-zone counterattacks, and put-away power. Our favorite, "protect the line," is a dink-only game focused on taking balls out of the air and keeping opponents off your kitchen line. "Dink 70" is a backhand-to-backhand dinking drill that trains reach and control, with a speed-up variation. Finally, we run a mid-court transition drill where I feed a mediocre drive and we play out the point which teaches when to advance, retreat, or concede the kitchen.
