I train with Paul Lee to clean up his counterattacks in hands battles, focusing on when to use one hand versus a two-handed backhand and how to stop jumping and adding excess motion. We adjust his ready position by bringing his elbows in to create more effortless, compact power and reduce “chicken wing” issues. I break down one-hand vs two-hand decisions based on reach, the slot, and balls jammed in front, then run a left-to-left hands drill to build switching into muscle memory. We add coil/uncoil mechanics off the ground, a compact “snap back to center,” and a fast six-ball drill to force quick reloads, ending with live reps and homework videos.
