At 34, Stefan Auvergne has carved out a distinctive niche in pickleball through both popularity and prestige. Born in France, Auvergne relocated to the States at 18 to attend North Carolina State University, a decision that would set the stage for his eventual rise in the pickleball world.
Auvergne's journey to pickleball stardom is as unconventional as it is inspiring. His first encounter with the sport occurred not on a traditional court but in the parking lot of his CrossFit gym. Auvergne's curiosity was piqued. Within 3 weeks, he was hooked, rapidly progressing from a casual player to a competitive force on the court.

His unique position as one of the few elite pros not hailing from the United States underscores the sport's international appeal. Auvergne dreams of representing France if pickleball were to be included in the Olympics.
